Arsenal reach deal to sign Ajax young goalkeeper
Tommy played for Ajax A1 youth team last season. Has experience at England Under-18 World Cup level.
Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign 18-year-old English goalkeeper Tommy Setford from Ajax.
The Netherlands-born, England goalkeeper is contracted to Ajax until mid-2025 and has link with a move to Arsenal, with the Gunners reportedly offering €1m plus add-ons in exchange for a four-year deal.
The signing of Setford will be a signing to join the Arsenal youth team

year-old initially handed a new four-year deal. The 18-year-old has earned plaudits during his time at Ajax and has also represented England at Under-16 level.
They have also signed 18-year-old goalkeeper Lucas Nygaard from Nordsjælland, where Gunners goalkeeping coach Inaki Kanja spent time with them. Arsenal have
also tried to sign 30-year-old goalkeeper Dan Bentley from Wolves, but the offer has been rejected. After looking at him, he is the right person to be the third-choice goalkeeper.
